MAGAZINES| BOB MARLEY COVERS BILLBOARD

Reggae music legend Bob Marley covers this week’s Billboard Magazine. In the feature article, the magazine profiles the Marley estate and their quest to maximize profits from Marley’s likenesses and music 30 years after his death. While some may see this as exploitation, its no different than what every other dead celebrity brand has done, including Elvis, Johnny Cash, and most recently, Michael Jackson. The Marley estate in particular suffers from extreme bootlegging of not just his music, but of his image used on random products from bobble heads to plush toys, without their consent! Read the article . It’ll be interesting to see how they will turn this around. Are You Still Interested In Bob Marley
